Personal history
Angel lived an uneventful life as the only child of a widower owner of a massive tech company, but her world seemed to brighten and start when the love of her life entered into it. She began an accelerated college program and studied to become a historian.
When (22) Angel met (24) Brooke Lawson (her original surname being Au-Yeung), they courted at a local coffee house that Brooke was a barista at. Their romance went on for a year when Angel asked Brooke to marry her.
Happily engaged, they went on adventures together through the US. Angel's family did not receive this engagement well due to, not homophobia, but xenophobia. Brooke's family was always kept at arms length due to their expectations of her as an adopted child.
(Brooke was born in Hong Kong; her birth parents went missing, so she lived with her grandmother. Her adopted parents wanted her to become a veterinarian, but Brooke chose to drop out of college, so they broke off contact with her.)
Not long after the engagement, her father died due to a massive car accident and she chose to sell the company to an associate of her father's. With her wealth, she completed law school after changing majors and used her current and newfound finances very frugally.
To reconnect with Brooke roots, they moved to Hong Kong together after their cross country adventure. With thoughtful consideration, Brooke and Angel decided ultimately to marry in a private elopement.
The night before their "wedding", they were headed home from Uncle Yen’s Noodles to return to their apartment when a shootout conducted between the SLA and the Dragons. In the scuffle, Brooke was hit by a stray bullet fired by a cop and killed instantly.
With every ounce of her spare time, she researched the officers that were on duty the night of that shooting to avenge Brooke's death.
Now that it has been 5 years since Brooke's death, Angel is employed remotely for a massive law firm in the US that specializes in civil rights.
Angel became a masked avenger to implement justice against the SLA, the Dragons and any other gang-related group in Hong Kong. The mask she uses is an effigy mask of Brooke's face with a covering over her nose and mouth and nearly onyx black eyes. Instead of Brooke's cyan hair, she has her natural dirty blond hair with a hood over her head.
