A land split to survive 

Dunduri is a land that was once a whole kingdom that has now broken down into a few kingdoms after a civil war that ended in the Second Shattering and the newly crowned king Habor Dundrus willingly handed over parts of his land to his people supporters and those that he trusted.

Habor split and gave the land into many kingdoms so a second civil war doesn't break out again.
