Arcanization Ritual

Ritual

For three days before the ritual the adept must drink a high iron content liquid. Then, they are placed in mercury bath after applying protective barriers. The scent of candles helps them enter a trance-like state. The mage performing the ritual then casts a spell on the body of the adept. It is usually a simple spell, only slowly moving the body up and down or something similar. The last part however is an advanced spell to minimise the exchange of air of the adept. When it gets released the sudden increase in oxygen content puts their brain into overdrive, causing dream-like a vision.

The vision is a result of the mind trying to make sens of the new world before it and usually isn't related to anything the person has seen or done, in a simillar way to actual dreams. There are, however, known cases in which Gods intervened and comunicated to the adept something important about their life or the will of the Gods. Those cases are usually the result of the person having a lower level blessing
