Tutans
Tutans, or also called elephantfolk, are a people of slow, long life, that is filled with strength and wisdom. They are folk that travelled down from Nothsandan to explore different world of the south and acquire new wisdom hidden there. They are known for their long time perspective and wide knowledge about the world. This knowledge is not the one that can come from wizards and sages, but the one that describes what is unseen and hidden. They are responsible for variety of philosophies that became later great wisdoms, which motivated whole kingdoms and empires to change.
But before they became folk of great power of mind, they were folk that became prey in Nothsandan, because of their natural endurance. It was exploited by sarahs, which enslaved whole settlements of tutans and forced them into horrible physical work. Their culture has been destroyed, with only ruins and ash left after once amazing settlements, but their minds and thoughts blossomed, when they experienced cruelty and greed of lizardfolk.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Tutans are folk similar to elephants, though much smaller than them. They move on cylindrical legs, almost indentical as elephants', but their upper limbs are ended with three thick fingers, flexible enough to be of use while grappling objects and showing signs. They lack tusks and tails. Their big ears have muscles that allow tutans to control them. This ability was extremely useful in hot lands of Nothsandan, where every shade was important.
Biological Traits
Tutans don't vary much, except the length of their ears, which became shorter with time, when tutans settled in much colder lands like Howleran and Settan. Beyond that, tutan genders differentiate by shape of their reproductive organs, height and length of their trunks.

Facial characteristics
Tutans have their mouths hidden beneath their trunks. They do not gro facial hair and have got eyes in shades of silver.

Tutans have the lowest distribution density in Nothsandan, due to the past of their species with sarahan slavery. They have the highest population in Settan, in Kingdom of Vilia, with Laurelan Confederacy second.

Tutans have vast knowledge about ways of the world, have deep understanding of magic, gods and other Spheres of Matter, due to the meticulous and well written researchs of their kin. Beyond that, they have quite a knowledge that involves behaviour and way of thinking of different types of people.

The Wisdom Conclave - the organization created by tutans, but open for everyone, that is responsible for preserving knowledge and wisdom of the world by securing important texts from being destroyed and creating new ones about recent discoveries.
History
Tutans have always been connected to peace and calm since the beginning. They had created a peaceful culture that was focused on preserving wisdom and knowledge. They were creators of the first monasteries and libraries, some of which ruins can still be found in Nothsandan. Peace of tutanan culture ended when sarahs came to dominance in Nothsandan and began their slavery network, which destroyed the priceless culture of tutans and slaughtered thousands of them. Slavery of tutans started in -7,000 BG, endured to a 3rd century PG, and would have lasted more if not for the armies of the Great Kingdom of Marwyn, which decided to end slavery in their own country and then strike it down on other continents.
After tutans have acquired freedom, most of them decided to become travellers and explorers and soon they could be found in every place in the world. Not in huge numbers, as they were considered a minority even in their homeland, but they had a significant impact on civilizations of other races, helping them to develop new ways of ruling, thinking and preserving.

Tutans weigh up to 200kg, due to their large limbs and bodies.

Tutans mostly do not care about their physique, as they have large natural strength and endurance. They like their slow way of life, mostly among books or while discussing with friends.

Tutans' body tint does not vary because of their naturally very thick skin and their genetic resistance to sunlight and its affects on one's body.
