Basil

Part owner of The Friendly Halfling, his partner, Anvil Ironforge a dwarf is the Brewmeister. Basil is known only by the single name and is a retired adventurer. He came to Ferrum through the Nexus from elsewhere but has a large family and network of halflings working for him. A master chef and alchemist his skills are a favorite of many in the small city of Cauldron's Hold. He’s been in this realm for over two decades and has built himself a good life with his good friend Anvil. Basil settled down and married a halfling from this world named Ivy. He has many friends here and has published a few books printing them at Inkwell Cartography and Printing.

Basil Prides himself on being capable of attaining just about anything desired, for the right price that is. He isn’t truly a part of the black market just good at finding things people want given time and money. While he is the master chef of the Friendly Halfling Inn & Tavern, he also runs a message service from the tavern. Several halflings work for him and nearly everyone who works for him is a halfling. Anvil is a dwarf also from another realm and one or two other employees are of other races. He’s a good host and only cooks for special meals anymore. He does train new cooks and chefs as well.
