Personal history

Belak's history is largely shrouded in mystery. Long ago, Belak was exiled from his druidic circle. Nobody but Belak truly knows why, or when as he exacted his revenge on his former circle. Afterwards, he fell in with a seedier crowd and eventually joined a mysterious cult. He became fascinated with dark magics and how they interact with the natural world. The cult eventually discovered the Sunless Citadel, a former stronghold of Vecna's army during the great war, and the magic flora it contained. The cult dispatched Belak to research the specimens, and he has not been heard from since.

Education

Belak grew up with the typical education a druid receives, mainly on their role within the natural world and how their circle uses magic to protect it. After he was exiled, Belak became fascinated with dark magics and was taught a lot of what he knows by the mysterious cult he joined.
