After the Ake Elf society heard of The Cutting of the Nox Életfa, they were outraged. The gifting of the tree was a source of their banishment and their hope for redemption. Because of The Betrayal of Életfa, the knowledge that such a dwarf would cut down this tree was the greatest of insults and sins. They had already found ways back to the surface through exploration and the use of their spider mounts, which is how they had learned of this news. Therefore, it was easy for them to use these secret exits to invade the Parvus kingdoms of Nanoan, Nainen, and Enanoan (Known by some as The Three Hammer Nations). For 5 years, war raged through guerilla warfare and the use of small scale groups of scouts and assassins. Some speculate it took 5 years only because the Ake Elves needed to relearn the territory, map out the environments, and find the three guilty parties. When they finally killed each of the three children of King Germain Golden-Beard, who they felt were responsible for the killing of the Életfa Tree, they retreated back into their tunnels (always collapsing them behind them). Lucky for the dwarves, each newly assassinated king had heirs, but the morality of the dwarves was shaken. Every 20 years thereafter, a handful of scouts are seen throughout the surface, gathering information and observing the remaining throne keepers. The three thrones made from the Életfa Tree remain intact and continue to grow very slowly, with their silvery light. Because these thrones continue to grow, the Ake Elves consider justice paid and hold no further ill will towards the dwarven kingdoms, only appearing to watch the growth of the three trees. Dwarves hold great ill will towards Ake elves, viewing them as vicious savages, corrupted by the Netherworld or hell, shadows of their previous greatness that helped them overthrow the Raashken Empire.
Ake elves wear a chitin armor from various creatures of the Netherworld with large bug like helmets, weapons, and even wing like capes at times depending on ranks. Additionally, the pale elves developed a system of military code language using the sounds of insects similar to that of a cicada. Because of this and the fact that they send scouting parties out every 20 years, they were dubbed the slur Cicadas or Cicada elves. Some might even use the misnomer cicada Yoru Elf, despite the Ake elves having separated from the Yoru elves during the Exedous of the Ake
