Unseelie Court

The Unseelie Court, sometimes known as the Shadow Court, is one of the leading and more dangerous courts of the Feywild with "complex political system". It has a volatile relationship with the Seelie Court, interchangeably forming alliances and becoming enemies in a loop.
The court often organizes performances at their local theater, including appearances of the Royal Troupe of the Unseelie Court. At the end of the performance, those who got caught watching the performace are abducted and forced to join the theater, first as a member of the audience, then to become the troup's performer. Some fey eladrin believed they could reincarnate as members of the Unseelie Court, provided they led an exceptional series lives and reincarnations.

Dark Hunt

One of the more notable groups within the Unseelie Court is the Dark Hunt, also known as the Wild Hunt after the phenomenon in which they participate. This group is a loose organization of the most skillful hunters among the Unseelie. The Queen of Air and Darkness sends them on all manner of missions to fetch various things or creatures for her entertainment, and are expected to obey her commands without question.

Activities

Members of the Unseelie Court often engage in Wild Hunts, riding atop nightmares and aided by yeth hounds. They engage in esoteric magic and rituals, that are corruptive in nature. It is said that they dine upon creatures from the Prime Material plane.

History

While the origins of the Unseelie Court remain a mystery, it along with Unseelie Court, attract countless number of fey throughout its existence. Members of the Unseelie Court are responsible for catching and raising the wild displacer beasts of the Feywild and breeding them to become terrible hunters. Some times, the monstrous beasts escape captivity and return to the wilds.

Members

The Unseelie Court accepts within its ranks any creature with any trace amount of fey ancestry. As such, many creatures that would otherwise be considered malformed, or even monstrous are openly welcomed within the Unseelie Court. Non-fey are rarely granted admittance within. While members of the court tend to be more intellectual they eschew the trappings of civilization for a more natural environment.
