The Prime Material

Description

The Prime Material is a vast realm of galaxies and stars, planets and moons. Natural laws are key within this plane, creating order from the chaos at the center of everything. Theories estimate that the Prime Material is composed of Astral Dissonance left over from the creation of the Ether. Other theories suppose that the worlds therein are composed of Elemental Chaos. However, neither are objectively verifiable, and may just as well be false.
Countless worlds exist in the Prime Material, and all are touched by [the Ether] in one form or another. Where each world touches the Ether is called an Ethereal Halo; most, if not all, worlds are assumed to have one.
It is widely accepted that it is the substance of the Material Plane that acts as the foundation for both the Feywild and the Shadowfell; that those two planes are "echoes" of the former. Further speculation hints at the idea that the Feywild is the Celestial pull on the Material, and that the Shadowfell is the Abyssal pull.
The Material Plane also happens to be home to the ever-familiar Greatmoon Lest and its orbiting worlds: Ffellwyn'eth, Tiberius, Mowlin, and Reldahn, the last of which is often excluded, as it is disjointed from the Great Sphere (in a different dimensional pocket). The space between these worlds and beyond is known by many names, most often called the "Sea of Stars."
