Divine Symbols & Sigils

Bread

A symbol of the harvest and of preparation, bread is a valued staple in a healthy diet. Grain-free breads are particularly common in Arcturia due to the amount of space required to successfully grow grains even with aquaponics. As a result breads using grains are especially prized.

Harvested Foods

The fruits of the harvest are rewards well-earned, representing the hard work and effort of both the farmers and the plants themselves.

Holidays

Festival of Harvest

The Festival of Harvest falls on the first day of Harvest in the Druidic Calendar. In traditional farming communities it is a day of production and hard work, the beginning of the efforts to reap the bounty of the growing season. Celebrants will gather their communities to assist with the harvest, singing as they work. The day ends with a feast featuring the first bounties of the day.   During the War of Generations the Arcturians were largely confined to their cities, unable to farm. Their eventual development of Aquaponics allowed them to grow food indoors, free from the confines of the seasonal harvests. The Festival of Harvest evolved over time to include a celebration of the growers and their bounty, with the fruits of their labors complimenting various meats from the animals storming the city walls. Now that the War has ended and traditional farming techniques are again possible these new traditions have become a part of the old.
