Eysa Thalore
Eysa Thalore is the first established state by the Elves. Upon discovering this land; teeming with trees, plants, and wildlife, they found their home. The most notable feature of Eysa Thalore is it's four Sacred Forests that shaped the states history and politics. The First Four came together and founded a tetrarchy in 113 AC to protect each Sacred Forest from it's own people and others. All four Sacred Cities have rules and laws in place to protect the ecosystem within each; the most notable being that no living tree shall be struck down, lest you be. Hunting is also forbidden within each forest. This has lead to an interesting culture and economy where smaller burgs import wood, meat, and other goods to the Sacred Cities. Though uncommon for their people, many towns and burgs have taken to farming to ensure these Sacred Cities do not faulter.
Geography
Featuring vast forests, large meadows, bountiful plains, and long beaches; Eysa Thalore has a variety of abundant ecosystems. Almost all of the state is rather flat, but does feature the notable hill Gudura Hill at it's southwestern boarder. This hill is home to Gudura, the military capital. It's higher viewpoint and tactical advantage is perfectly situated just along the boarders of Bayan, Tharnadinar, and United Provinces of Skalyth. Another notable defensible feature of the landscape of Eysa Thalore is it's largest Sacred Forest Elynelon that surrounds the capital and Sacred City Yelean. There is no need for walls in the capital for Elynelon is so thick in flora and fauna, it provides a natural barrier only the Elves and Fabul can traverse.
Ecosystem Cycles
Unlike all of Nezzuu, the seasons do not have as much of an impact as other states. Though things cannot grow, it is temperate enough for hardy crops to survive through summer and winter.
Localized Phenomena
The Sacred Forests of Eysa Thalore are a natural phenomena for Nezzuu. Though they stop producing, the trees never die or hibernate in either summer or winter. Even in the most brutal heat and snow, they maintain their foliage. It is hypothesized that the trees are interconnected to a Mother Tree or other magical source that provides the the nutrients they need to survive. However, they span such enormous lengths and are so dense, none have been found to date.
Climate
Eysa Thalore has a very temperate climate. It receives enough precipitation to allow flourishing and diverse fauna. Even in summer and winter, Eysa Thalore stays rather mild compared to the rest of the continent. Hardier plants can sometimes even survive during these times.
It stays sunny most year round inland, but receives the occasional downpour. On average Eysa Thalore receives yearly precipitation of 76.6". Since inland Eysa Thalore receives so much rain at once, it does tend to flood in low regions. But due to the slopping position of the landscape, does not see this often. The coast does receive regular, but light, rain. This generally does not impede the workings of the towns and burgs that reside there.
Fauna & Flora
There is likely no other place that has as thick and lush forests as Eysa Thalore. And some of the most rare magical herbs can only be found within it's Sacred Forests. Due to the outlaw of hunting, it also features a strong and plentiful fauna presence as well.
Natural Resources
Eysa Thalore, though it has some of the most trees per capita, does not export wood. It is abundant in availability, though is only used when necessary. It does also have the most fertile soil in the realm. This is utilized in both gathering and farming. It's magical herbs (some of which are only found here) and grapes are to be envied. It's number one export is their magical aged wine that utilizes both. It is not uncommon to find bottles all the way in Zrald Theocracy. Since hunting is outlawed in all of Eysa Thalore, they are lucky to have a coast teeming with fish and pastures that can support even the largest of stock. Since many of it's citizens are vegetarian, or pescatarian, meat is also often exported as it is easily produced beyond it's local demand.
History
In 113 AC Eysa Thalore was founded. Vamir Kriscyne, Namys Heirona, Sana Trisfiel, and Emmil Magric came together with their people and founded the four Sacred Cities. They are known commonly as the First Four. Emmil Magric prior to this time was the sole King. Upon discovering not only one, but four Sacred Forests, he alone could not oversee and provide the protection all four needed. He then coronated three of his advisors, entrusting them with a great duty to protect their Sacred Forest and Eysa Thalore as a whole.
Eysa Thalore is the only state that has not had much, if any, internal conflict. No wars have been waged within it's boarders since it's founding. Many have tried to seize control, and even twice their people have marched against other states, but never have they fought amongst one another.
Tourism
Eysa Thalore is a popular destination for the well-off drunk. People of all races flock to it's mystical vineyards that pepper the land.
It's schools of magic, and specifically alchemy, draw applicants from all corners. Emmil Magric School of Magic is the most prestigious school of magic and alchemy in the land. However, it is situated in the heart of Elynelon, just on the outskirts of Yelean. Only those of Elven decent and take a vow to not harm, and even defend with their life, Elynelon can enter.
