Feather Boa
Fairy Gardens are known for their fertile land and lush forests full of life and untouched by civilization. There are many plants and animals hidden there that people may not even know about. But, there are some that people have gotten a chance to observe. One of these being the feather boa.
Appearance
Feather boa is a snake, but as its name suggests, it’s feathered. The feathers cover all of its body, except its snout and its belly. Their feathers are colorful, and can be just about any color you can imagine.
They grow up to 2 meters in length, the females are usually smaller. Similar to many bird species, the males are usually more colorful and have a distinct feathery crown on top of their head, while the females tend to have fluffier feathers in general and more pasel colored feathers.
Some very ancient depictions show this snake with wings, but they must have lost them through years of evolution.
Lifestyle
Feather Boas live in forests, far away from any mole settlements. They are most common in the large forest between Å+*4~ and Fairy Gardens, but may be found in other forested areas of Fairy Gardens.
They are usually seen alone, but it’s possible that they live together in pairs or small colonies. They have been observed to lay 2 or 3 eggs at a time, which are taken care of by the mother until the young snakes hatch and reach maturity. At this time, the mother uses her fluffy feathers ot build a nest for ther young, After reasing maturity, the young snakes leave to live their own solitary lives.
They are often seen in treetops, but most likely life in underground dwellings, where they retreat to hibernate during the rainy season.
Diet
Feather boas are pretty fancy and only strive for the best for themselves. They only eat the best and highest quality fuits that they can find in forests. Being a snake helps them climb trees and eat fruits right off of branches when they are at the best stage of ripeness. They will not eat any fruits form the ground, that's nasty. Other less civilized animals can eat those. Besides that, they will eat almost any kind of fruit that grows on trees in the forests.
You have done one of my favorite things to do as a writer here: take a pun and turn it into something wonderful and fully realized. I love love love the idea of the feather boa, and that the last thing I read before clicking the Like button was the caption "Look at him; he's fabulous!" was just perfect. Well done!
I'm glad you enjoyed the feather boa :'D
