Zel
The Zel is a major river that flows from the Shiver Mountains in the east to the Panonic Gulf in the west. The river proper is formed at the confluence of two smaller rivers in the foothills of the mountains, which join and then flow over the Union Falls almost immediately after. It then has only one tributary, the Retays River.
The name of the river is the Tanese word for 'river', as it is the only significant river in the area.
The Zel is the lifeblood of the Kingdom of Tanish. Along its banks, Ishud Trees, grasses, date palms, and other plants flourish with harsh desert on either side.
