Sourise grew up in Waterdeep in and around her parents' guild. They were quite popular, and Sourise swore that she would become an official member one day. Seeing her parents' creations, she quickly became worried that she wouldn't be able to meet that same degree of quality in the products they made. Determined to prove herself she briefly set off from home, only to be called back when her father fell ill. As he was dying, he told her about how a group called the Cult of the Dragon embezzled him for his creations. She now is set out to right the wrongs her father was forced to commit, as well as still trying to prove to herself her worth as an artificer.
