General Summary

Part 1: Goblin Arrows

Goblin Ambush

1. While travelling from Neverwinter to Phandalin, the party encountered horses slain in the road where an ambush had previously been conducted
2. Anticipating a new ambush, the party readied themselves and were not taken surprised
3. After fighting off a group of goblins, the party inspects the horses and discovered that they appeared to have been those used by Gundren Rockseeker and his escort; an empty map case was also found nearby
4. The party discovered that the bodies appeared to be have dragged off along a trail to the north
5. Travelling along the trial and avoiding goblin traps, the party arrived at the Cragmaw Hideout set inside a cave

Cragmaw Hideout

1. Fighting their way inside, the party discovered a chamber where Sildar Hallwinter was being held by the goblin leader Yeemik
2. Uninterested in negotiating terms, the party watched as Yeemik attempted to murder Sildar Hallwinter but the party was able to defeat the goblins and revive him in time
3. After their travels and several fights, the party decided to make camp in the back of the cavern and rest
