ToD: Session 83: A battle with Thunder and Lightning

General Summary

As the party went to the left door with Vox leading the way by activating her ghost form they saw Iskander, laying on the ground with the Blue Dragon mask in his hand and blood on the floor. In the room were also two large Hourglasses with pully systems to turn them around and Ray saw something shining from inside one of them; a gem. As Vox inspected the body they found he was dead and she took the mask. After this Leo got the mask from Vox saying that they are going to give it to Ileuthra, the dragon from the dragon council. And started casting Identify on it to check what the properties were and if this was the true mask. In the meantime Ray turned the Hourglass wich made an ear screeching sound and saw the gem fall to the bottom. With the help from Vox who went inside to get it and out they got a diamond worth 100gp and with some magical effect coming from it. Leo inspected this one also and found that you can teleport with it, up to 30 ft. After Vox went and got the another diamond from the other hourglass they decided to cast Speak with Dead on Iskander. First they prepared some question and Ray started casting the spell.
Ray acidentally asked Iskander How he was doing, which he replied with not good. Then How did you die?, which he answered from the wounds sustained from the elementals and cultists. She then asked: Who are you, on which he responded with: Iskander. Then she asked how they can leave, he said trough the portal with which they came in. And as the last question: Where is a blue dragon, he said: in the desert.
After this the party decided to go to the other side of the dungeon and saw a Efreeti, he was sitting down in the room and Ray saw a line of salt on the ground. They started a conversation and came to know the Efreeti as Taraz the Fair and that he has been trapped here by Xonthal for a long time. And that he his powers were restricted because Xonthal took them. And he would be freed if he were to win a game against Xonthal. He tried to get out of the room by offering them a wish or his service to fight a monster like a Dracolich. But they saw trough his lies and found out that he could not give them a Wish. They left Taraz the Fair in the room and went back to the Teleportation Circle.
As the party all stood on the teleportation circle and deciding where to go Sun pressed the Triangle, the one that leads to the maze. When they arrived here they heard thunder and Lightning and they saw terrorizing the town, a Adult Blue Dragon. Leo recognized the dragon as Lennithon, and when the party decided to help the vilage and they approached the dragon began speaking.

"The mask, fools! The mask is what I've come for. Give it to me, and I'll leave these crawling ants with their miserable lives. The Queen is returning! Who are you to hope to stop her? Give me the mask!"

While running Leo gave the Flying Broom to Sidon to make him airborne and Sun still had a Crown of Stars up. Leo teleported Sidon closer to the dragon and Sun began shooting the stars and Vox dove to hide which the dragon laughed at saying he could still see her. As Sun was the first to attack and looking the most hurt he flew to Sun and blasted him with a Lightning Breath. Sun managed to dodge it and absorbed some of it with his Wild Magic. But after being downed by the dragon Lennithon began threatening the party; if they would not give the mask he would kill the cat. The party refused and followed up with killing Sun. But the party persevered and shot the dragon multiple times which made him flee as to not succumb to the wounds. But before flying away the dragon charged his body with the storm and shot Ray one last time.
After the hard fought battle Ray revived Sun with the diamond from Leo. And seeing the village still in disary they decided to help them. They helped the village and the weird man Pete told them that he was not hurt and that his home was still available for the party to sleep in. And heralded them as heroes for defeating the dragon. Leo then contacted Ileuthra and he told him that he was on his way.
