ToD: Session 92: The Rise of Tiamat

General Summary

As the party entered the Temple of Tiamat they saw a cathedral like space with no interial walls or upper floors. There were 5 chapels each glowing a color of the chromatic dragons: white, black, green, blue, and red. They saw some familiar faces including: Thoss Tarek, Rath Modar, Talis the White, Galvan the Blue, Severin and 9 Red Wizards all participating in the ritual to summon Tiamat. In the center of the temple was a swirling of arcane energy beckoning Tiamat into the material plane.
The party started with attacking the Red Wizards and Toss Tarek, during this Leo casted fly on Sidon so he could reach the higher floating Red Wizards, with Sun going invisible and still flying, and Ray summoning her weapon and Vox readying her aim. They slayed multiple wizards while they were summoning Tiamat with their ritual. Thoss and Rath had protected themselves inside a Globe of Invulnerability while slinging their spells. Eventually Leo went up to face Severing himself and while doing so he saw him wearing the Mask of the Dragon Queen. But as they continued their fight they saw:

The magical maelstrom filling the central apse of the temple suddenly splits open with a crack of thunder.
The gargantuan heads of five dragons begin to tear and gnash their way out of the rune-lined pit of fire that forms there. Tiamat the Dragon Queen is about to burst bodily from her confinement in the Nine Hells and enter the world.

As she started to emerge Severin went down to welcome the Queen of Dragons, at first the white head arrived which immediatly blasted some cultists and party members alike, then her Black head came trough and sprayed Ray with Acid which knocked her down. And Sun had another Wild Magic surge which made him able to reincarnate when he dies. He then got blasted by an icy storm. After this her Green head appeared and blasted Leo with her noxious gas. This gravely wounded him but as Sidon and Vox were shooting and stabbing her and Sun throwing his stars at her body. Sidon dealt the final blow stabbing the God of Chromatic Dragons in the chest and send her back down into the Nine Hells of Baator. Ending the ritual and stopping the arrival of Tiamat.
As she was send back down to hell Severing fell to his knees in disbelief and Rath Modar having fled. Leo knew what he had to do, so he said his goodbeyes to his friends and when going to Severin he said to his face:

"When you see Tiamat in hell tell her this all started with a good day fishing"

And using the Retributive Strike of the Staff of Power, breaking it over his knees he blew up, taking Severin, the Mask of the Dragon Queen and himself with it. Destroying any chance the cult has to bring Tiamat back from the Hells for a long while. With the fate of Leo up to the gods, the party went trough the rest of the Well of Dragons and cleared it out of any remaining cultists. Here they found the treasures from The Sword Coast, with mountains as tall as giants made out of gold and gems. And as they went outside they saw the battlefield with countless dead and wounded, Skyreach Castle battered and broken but still floating. And the forces of the Faerûn victorious in their battle.

Faerûn was saved by the actions of The Bane of Dragons
