Neverwinter is a city-state on the Northern Sword Coast, located between Waterdeep and Luskan. Ruled by its Lord Protector, Dagult Neverember, the city has been rebuilding after the eruption of Mount Hotenow led to the city's partial destruction and abandonment.
Neverwinter is a member of the Lords' Alliance, with Neverember representing the city within the faction. Neverwinter is on good standing within the Alliance, despite Neverember's personal disagreements with Laeral Silverhand, the Open Lord of Waterdeep and current leader of the Alliance.
