Empire of Melabrauth

Melabrauth, also known as the Jungle Empire, is the oldest dragon empire of Laerakond. After the destruction of Djerad Kusol, a city that served as home for the slave dragonborn population of Melabrauth until their rebellion and eventual destruction. The only known settlement was the gemstone dragonborn town of Yashinskoye in the forbidden desert known as the Windswept Plains. There are no roads in Melabrauth and Its many rivers were navigable but are infested by fierce and dangerous monsters. Melabrauth is a vast, wild jungle inhabited by savage monsters. Ruined stone piers slump into the seas in natural harbors along its coast, and overgrown ruins lay deep in the jungle. These edifices are the only evidence that dragonborn and other humanoids once were a major part of the population in Melabrauth. Melabrauth is ruled by Melauthaur the Undying One, a powerful dracolich. Melauthaur chose twenty dragons to be the "overdragons", dragon lords who rule over their brethren and are tasked with the protection of the land. If an "overdragon" becomes reckless or ambitious, Melauthaur commands other "overdragons" to kill it before that dragon could do anything. Otherwise, Melauthaur allows his "overdragons" to pursue their own goals, which often includes hunting humans and dragonborn for sport. After the rebellion of Djerad Kusol during the Wailing Years, Melabrauth forbade the "overdragons" to have dragonborn slaves.
