Katshaka,Maztica, and Anchrome

The Continents of Katshaka, Maztica, and Anchrome are very different than most other continents across Toril, due to their development and population. While much of Eastern Toril exists in a medieval and pre-renaissance state, most of the Western Continents remain in the Bronze age. Only the lands of Matzica developed into the Iron Age. This is by no means a critique of culture, but instead, a symbol of historical progress and the lack of historical development in raw data when compared to the east.   Maztica: The Most developed and populous of the continents it sits between Anachrome to the north and Katshaka to the South. The Border between it and Anacrhome is generally seen as the border mountains that cross the isthmus between the large bodies of land, while the Peninsula of Lopango is generally seen as the southernmost reach of Matzica.   The Geography of the Continent is divided as such that to the West Lies a stretch of the mountain that reaches across the western coast, while a massive desert spreads itself across the interior. The East of the Continent is fertile plains and savannah in the north and Jungle to the south. The Peninsula of Lopango is entirely jungle and wraps around the Sea of Azul.   The Political details of Geography= East Maztica: Payit A native nation covered in open savannas and dense jungles. Far Payit A large jungle land with few settlements. Sea of Azul A large body of water that separated Far Payit from the House of Tezca. Gulf of Cordell This oceanic gulf lay on Maztica's eastern coast, north of Payit.   Central Maztic: Pezelac An agricultural nation west of Pay it. The Valley of Nexal A fertile valley west of Pezelac and east of Huacli, it was home to several Maztican city-states, including Nexal. Huawei A native confederation of six city-states west of Nexal. Kultaka is a native kingdom to the northeast of Nexal.   South Maztica: House of Tezca A large desert south of Nexal. Kolan A native nation on the western coast of Maztica, west of the House of Tezca.   North Maztica: The Sands of Itzcala A great desert north of Nexal, home of the Dog People. The Pasocada Basin A river basin north and west of the Sands of Itzcala.
Anachrome
The Lands of Anachrome lie North of Matzica and West of the Island of Evermeet. it is a land largely unexplored by outsiders and as such little beyond generalities is known about is geography. The North is seemingly populated by dense forests and mountains, while the South near Matzica is covered with Deserts and jungles. In between these two extremes lies a large band of Fertile plains and river systems. This land seems the most hospitable, yet remains unpopulated from the little exploration undertaken.    A group of Feral Elves called the Poscadar Elves live in the south of the continent and are openly hostile to all foreigners even the elves of Evermeet and all precautions should be taken to defend oneself from them and their attacks. A Group of Thri-Kreen is said to have been spotted in the South as well and should be treated with equal caution.   It is rumored that the Aearee species of the creator races once called Anachrome home, with rumors of a floating city lying in ruins in the northern reaches of the continent near the Glacier of Aurune and the Lands around it. These lands while not connected to the rest of the continent are considered a part of it. These frozen lands so far contain the only remains of the creator species and hint at their destruction by dragons. Documents from the city indicate attacks by dragons, which match the increased sightings of dragons by explorers.    End Section

Continent
Katshaka   Almost completely unexplored this land is known to consist of Savanah to the North, Jungles in the Center, and Deserts to the south of the Continent. It is known that many of the tribes of Chult have origins in Katshaka dating back to the time of creator races, and the land remains mostly inhabited by humans, however, they remain in the tribal stage of development. Some notable individuals have on their own made their way to Faerun and thrived, but beyond these, the lands remain a mystery.
