Gnomes

The gnomish people have experienced an unprecedented level of hardship of the centuries.  Through these struggles the gnomes have steeled themselves and created pockets of society throughout the world.  From leaders of underground criminal enterprises to the heights of society it is not unusual to find a gnome that has managed to rise above their station in life.  In spite of these successes the gnomes have yet to retake their home of Gnoglin, leaving the gnomes to continue their fight to carve out a slice of Falandas for themselves.
Chameleon Gnome: Born with latent magical gifts those known as Chameleon Gnomes are frequently found in areas where there tend to be a concentration of arcane focus.  As such it is not unusual to encounter a Chameleon Gnome either teaching, or as a student, in any of the various arcane colleges around the continent.
Fey-Touched Gnome: Fey-Touched gnomes are rare since the days of the collapse of Gnoglin.  Once considered the be the most common of the various gnomish heritages, the Fey-Touched now spend their days hiding in the thick forests of Cultrius and the Dragon Wastes.  Though the Fey-Touched also carry within them a latent magical ability the majority of the Fey-Touched tend to be more connected with the nature around them, and thus less interested in the rigid ways of arcane study.
Sensate Gnome: A product of having lost their home to invading forces, the Sensate Gnomes developed natural sense that help them as trackers and hunters in the world.  Though initially the Sensate were focused on the survival of their people, they are now highly recruited as advanced scouts to various militaries, as well as the occasional criminal enterprise.
Umbral Gnomes: Umbral Gnomes went in a direction opposite of the rest of the gnomish people.  Instead of fleeing their home of Gnoglin, they instead built even deeper tunnels under the former gnomish capital city of Talik.  Buried deep beneath the Erachar Mountains the Umbral Gnomes grew accustomed to the darkness and their eyesight evolved, as the Umbral Gnomes developed darkvision.  From their position under the mountain the Umbral Gnomes are the front line forces of the continued fight to retake Gnoglin from the Orone and Inont people.
Wellspring Gnome: Intermingling with the societies of the known world has helped the Wellspring Gnome become connected to other branches of magic beyond the powers of the fey.  The Wellspring Gnome is also frequently known as the Political Gnome as they are often found mingling within the political circles of the world and building influence for their people.  The powers developed from their natural connection to arcane, divine, or occult magic providing the Wellspring Gnome with the tools needed to ascend in such arenas.
