Fredelig
"Nobody was reluctant to be taken in by the Forverret. We couldn't sail to Caesellius Vindex or we'll get captured. Provectus is still out hunting for us so we can only stay in this warring country. I think calling Fredelig a country is a bit of an overstatement, its more of a settlement. Though the natives insist that Fredelig is a superpower among nations. The houses are beautiful with glass ornaments. Besides the struggles of living with a whole new race of beings I can say l enjoy living here. I just wish I could see my family, all I have to talk to are criminals. The government is a little strange, the center of power is called a Jarl. This Jarl has some representatives that the people vote on to help with decision-making. So I guess I'll have to make do with what I have." - Robert Gaul
Structure
The Jarl passes laws and is the chief of the military. Her representatives interpret laws and enforce the basic needs of the country.
Public Agenda
The main goal the current Jarl pursues is to take revenge on Caesellius Vindex and Provectus after they raided their settlement.
Assets
Fredelig possesses strong fortifications and defenses on the edge of the island. Watchtowers and archer ranges are aplenty at the coast. The Forverret here are very dedicated and virtuous fighters. They seem to never back down during raids and fights feeling morally superior compared to other races.
History
Few are sure of how Fredelig was founded. Surviving records show that the Forverret were traders and often interacted with the somewhat disturbed factions. Being elvish in appearance left the Forverret to be discriminated against and slandered by neighbors. Then the raids commenced, leaving Fredelig to become a wasteland. Eventually, the houses were rebuilt, and a plot was schemed.
Demography and Population
The land id divided into communities with their own languages. Each neighboring community helps each other out and trade. Generally, birth to death rates round up to more being born than dead. This means more communities will have to be built in due time.
Trade & Transport
Goods are generally transported by cart through communities. Since each community is close together, you don't have to travel far to trade your wares.
Infrastructure
Roads and bridges are built in between communities for easy navigation. Watchtowers and walls line the coast of the island in case of a raid.
