In what can only be described as the early hours (time when some wake up, but most are still asleep) a land mass dropped from the sky into the Maholitah Depths, killing thousands of people in the process.

In what can only be described as the early hours (time when some wake up, but most are still asleep) a land mass dropped from the sky into the Maholitah Depths, killing thousands of people in the process.    Those that survived, saw it as a sign from the gods and were the first to explore this landmass. On this landmass they uncovered a new type of trees, bearing a delicious fruit, which they called apples. Upon further exploration they found extensive cave systems, many now flooded with water, which contained a new type of ore, which gave a faint glow. Because of this property it became known as Sparkstone.
