Ashen Blight

Humans and Feras that are infected by the Ashes. They are the initial stage of infection before turning into Ashtomies or Ashseekers respectively.

Basic Information

Anatomy

The skin and hair of the blighted will turn ashen white as the early stages of infection, resulting in the change of pigmentation due to the Ashes mutating ability. This infection will cause the blighted to become vulnerable in the sun.   Blighted Humans will have their eyes turned gold, skin sags and limbs grow into inhuman length. Their jaws will loll, eye bags grow prominent, eye sockets and cheeks sink into their faces. Their mouth narrows, preventing them from consuming anything.   Blighted Feras will have their eyes turned red, skin taut and black patches appeared. Their body contorts to resemble animals or creatures; bipedal or quadrupedal. Sharp teeth grows, sometimes in rows within their mouth, jaws may split, suspended by the edges or simply fall off. As the infection intensifies, their body may grow extra limbs, spikes or bone plates.

Ecology and Habitats

The Ashen Blights are immediately sent to the location where Ashes are more concentrated. Kingdoms, Nations and Cities cut ties with the Ashen Blights, erasing their existence completely from any residence.   Blighted Humans would roam aimlessly in search for sustenance but their narrow mouth prevents them, torturing them with hunger without satiation. Meanwhile, the Blighted Feras would tear each other apart, desperate to satiate the void hunger and consume anything - even Ashes - in their path as long as their belly would fill.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Blighted Humans act like how they would prior to the infection. The only downside is that they could not consume anything to satiate their hunger and thirst. Their mouths are too narrow to put anything into them, not even a drop of water down their throats.   Blighted Feras consume anything their hands or mouth can get to. This includes Ashes and other Feras. Cannibalism is common among them and morals are abandoned.
