Ashseeker

Ashseekers are bestial creatures that were once Feras in their previous life. They are reduced into the most primal forms of the Feras, and cursed to roam Frantumare to devour anything and anyone to satiate their everlasting hunger.
Many variants of the Ashseekers were discovered by adventurers and documented. The variants are either named from their behavior, appearance or the Fera they once were.

What is an Ashseeker?

Feras that are blighted by the ash have a chance to be reduced into their primal forms, forcing them to be violent and devour everything. They are named as Ashseekers due to their nature of being in an area where ashes had fallen and hunt within the perimeter.
When a Fera breathes in the ashes, they will attach to the internal organs and The Rotting begins. Their nervous system shuts down and the Ash Cells that are attached to the brain will kickstart rotting before creating a new system that controls the vessel. The remaining ashes altered their forms to resemble animals or mythical beasts, sometimes amalgamating them to create one Ashseeker.
Their desire to consume in their way came from the Will of the Void manifested from the ashes. Scholars and Magisters scrambled to study this phenomenon, but due to the violent nature of the Ashseekers, they are unable to capture one to conduct experiments on. It is believed that the creatures may result to cannibalism if their hunger is not satiated for too long as bodies of the creatures can be found mutilated.
At some point, an Ashseeker can obtain an Elemi by consuming a Faidh, which will kickstart an evolution to the creatures and allows them to adapt to their environment according to their Elemi. For example, an Ashseeker that consumed a Flamar will gain Ignis and are immune to fire. When this happens, it creates a Sinful species.

How to kill an Ashseeker?

Ashseekers cannot be killed by conventional weapons, hence guns and swords are useless. The only ones can truly kill an Ashseeker are the Faidha using their Elemi. To kill the creatures, a Faidh needs to destroy their brain where the ashes are most concentrated.
