Eye of the World

Eye of the World, or Aen Mundo, is a mountain located south of Strigea which is believed to be the highest peak in Frantumare.
Scholars around the world, especially the pious ones, said a communion can be forged with the Lys from the mountain as it could reach the stars. These are, but merely speculations, as no solid evidence gained from adventurers and pilgrims who traversed the mountain ranges.
A myth began to circulate of gaining all Elemi upon reaching the peak of the mountain. This draws attention from adventurers and even kings or snobbish princes, to gain at least one Elemi to keep hold of their power on their territory or area. However, like most adventurers and pilgrims, none returned to tell the tale.
Another myth emerges regarding twins or children playing around the mountain and freely traversed the hazardous path to the peak. This is often ruled out as mere hallucinations, as there are no settlement on the mountain, let alone at the foot of Aen Mundo.

The Ashen Born's Resting Place

A tale that passes on for generations is the tale of the Ashen Born's Final Rest.

Laevenon left in ruins. The people bowed, thanked and cried. On their knees and arms. The Ashen Born stood. Sword caked in ash and blood. The Ashen Born sighed, releasing a gust of ash from their lungs.
The Ashen Born is... tired. The one feeling they didn't think it's possible after possessing the body. Their heart hollow, their mind blank. They killed the very people that caused them harm and pain. The kingdom that stole the Ashen Born's happiness away. And yet... they felt nothing.
Their deed is done. The kingdom is a waste. The Ashen Born left it behind. Traversing the desert caused by their sword. Their power. Ash fall like snow. This is how it ends. This is how Maerus would end. Buried under the winter of ash.
They are tired. So tired. A short nap would do them good. How long has the Ashen Born been awake? Years, perhaps... after they lost their beloved flower.
The Ashen Born raise their head. A sharp glare to the sky. The gods have forsaken this world. The gods abandoned them. Maybe it had been centuries, who knows? The Ashen Born gripped their sword's handle.
With their final strength, the Ashen Born plunged the blade into the ground. A massive earthquake erupts, the seas wild and the once green land ceased of life. The ground beneath them shakes and rise above.
The Ashen Born drops to their knees.
They close their eyes.

Whether this tale is true or not is up for debate, but pilgrims who knew of the story would visit the base of the mountain and leave violet flowers, believed to be their favorite flower.

Geography

Contrary to popular belief, the mountain provides a beautiful view for the whole Frantumare, reaching even the farthest corner of the world. Aen Mundo is surrounded by dead forests with only rodents, carrion animals and Ashseekers at the base. The middle is engulfed by clouds and the temperature began to decrease dramatically.
