Kingdom of Laevenon

The predecessor of Strigea, Kingdom of Laevenon once ruled Maerus prior to Dark Calamity and Frantumare. It was primarily ruled by Humans with an iron fist. The people are greatly oppressed and some did not get the basic necessities to survive. It was destroyed by The Ashen Born due to their cruelty.

Assets

The most prominent feature of Laevenon was the walls, which is also adopted by Strigea in Frantumare. The walls protected the kingdoms from the Ashseekers, though they do not protect them from the ashes that fall. These walls surrounded the kingdom with 50ft height as precautions of an assault. In the middle of the kingdom where the castle of the King was located, buildings of quartz for the nobles and later the cobblestones and thatch roofs of the market district and settlement were located. It is believed that the King hoarded most of the riches in his castle's treasury in the underground and only given fractions of them to the nobles and merchants. No one dared to ask more from him due to his greed and paranoia.

Demography and Population

Due to the dense population in the kingdom, villages outside were fairly common sight for Laevenese. These villages fell under radar, often attacked by Ashseekers and left to starve due to the unhealthy soil and falling ashes. Villages scattered around the borders in case they needed a place to retreat if their homes were ravaged by Ashseekers. Most of the time, the population remains the same or reduced significantly from attacks. Despite their living condition, birth rates were steady although these children sometimes taken away by nobles to be adopted into their families.
