REXIM RXF-M5 EVA PISTOL

The RXF-M5 was essentially a miniaturized, weaponized version of commercial laser welders that were in use in the early 2100s. These welders were first weaponized by J'Har rebels in 2105 during the uprising on Torin Prime. After the cessation of the conflict, the Weyland-Yutani used it among their security forces, but due to its inability to fire more than a few shots before the battery died, most of them were disposed to the company's merchant fleet as protective sidearms. Many of those also were repurposed to its original function as emergency welders by engineering crews.
In 2183, a modernized military version of the RXF-M5, was announced by Weyland-Yutani in the form of the N79 EVA Laser.
