Preparations for the expedition to the lost worlds—christened the Great Mother Mission—begin soon after. The UNISC’s Great Mother Mission is launched from Anchorpoint II. A much-publicized event in the months leading up to the launch, the Great Mother Mission just as quickly fades from the public consciousness. The colony ships take some three years to reach their destination.
