Dobrun

Dobrun was a Loxodon warchief born in the Century of the Three Lice, Year of the Revolving Frog. He was a remarkably successful warchief whose life took a very unexpected turn when his mate and their children were killed in an out of control fire set during a raid on his home village. Shattered by grief, he wandered out into the Ghasrian Plains alone.
Dehydrated and starving, he had an epiphany about his people and the emptiness of their culture, and there, under the night sky of the plains, he formulated the Way, the philosophy of support and community that would shape his people's future. He returned to his home and began speaking about the Way. Slowly at first, Dobrun began converting people over to his way of thinking until a critical mass was reached and his ideas accelerated through the loxodon bands, continuing after his death until the entire race was completely transformed.
Today, the loxodon almost exclusively follow Dobrun's philosophy, and the marker designating his grave is a place of pilgrimage for all who follow the Way.
