Goliath
Proud and stiffnecked even under incredible adversity, the goliath have had a very rocky start on Fulcrum but things have finally started to turn around for their race with the Beastlanders as their newest allies.
Brought to Fulcrum by means unknown along with the frost giants, the goliath were originally a slave race. Magically compelled to obey the frost giants by the influence of an artifact known as the Rod of Peace, they were forced to act as the shock troops in the invasion of the byssward side of the Beastlands. They might have remained slaves forever if not for a daring raid by a Beastlander strike force on the location of the Rod of Peace, which ended with the artifact's destruction. Freed from domination, the goliath promptly joined up with the Beastlands, signing the Accord of the Waters and helping to turn the tide of the war.
Culturally, the goliath have a strong, honor-based warrior culture with a long history of warfare, naval exploration, and innovative farming techniques. Unfortunately many of their traditions have been lost to years of enslavement but with their recent emancipation, there is hope that what was destroyed can be rebuilt.
