Shadar-kai

At the end of the Creation War, the mortal races began to appear on Fulcrum and there was a brief period where the fey and the elves coexisted. When the fey were ready to depart to the Feywild, some elves requested to go with them, and their request was granted. Some of these elves while some went to various Domains of Delight and became the Eladrin, while some settled in the seductive night of the Shadowfell and became the shadar-kai.
As opposed to the wild emotion of the Domains of Delight, the Shadowfell is a place of quietude and somber reflection. The elves who settled here strove to delve the deepest depths of the calm pool of strange magic that pervades the place and were changed forever as a result. Unerringly calm and sober, the shadar-kai strive for the wisdom of the dark, calm, and quiet places of the mind, and can use this magic to slip through the shadows and protect themselves.
