Personal history
Created as a guardian for a Sacred Treasure that is now in some unknown location, she guarded it for centuries before something happened to convince her that it was no longer worth it for her to do so and instead simply waited for mortals to stumble into her domain so that she could amuse herself with games and puzzles that she would subject them to, usually with the punishment for failing her games the loss of a significant amount of years potentially turning grown and seasoned adventures into toddlers when giving her the wrong answer.
She kept this up until three particular adventurers entered her domain separately
The first was Kal-Dez , who mistakenly entered her domain, and the only way out was to play her game, but when he told this arrangement , he surprised her by making her an offer instead of simply stealing away his years by playing these games, he would "entertain" her and offer up his soul instead, which she accepted and then let him leave of his own free will
The second was an Aarakocra paladin of Tosh'ok that wandered into her domain seeking the Sacred Treasure, when he failed all the games and stumbled into all the traps she set throughout her pyramid, she was baffled when not a single one of her abilities affected them due to his paladin skills. They simply marched into her central chamber and asked for the Sacred Treasure. Mila had no way to actually stop him and begrudgingly gave it up, deciding that it wasnt worth the hassle
The third person was Shirou , coming in hopes of finding a way to help his patron god become free from his bindings. But when he played Mila's games, he failed all of them and stole away his years, turning him into a 16 year old, and told him that he could continue if he wanted but warnd against it. Shirou left infuriated with Mila and without the help he was seeking
Mila had grown very fond of Kal-Dez and had even kept him alive through many deaths since she had possession of his soul making banter with him everytime he woke up in her domain again with a brand new body. While at first annoyed with the sphinx's constant mockery, Kal-Dez grew to like Mila and her veiled efforts to help him and be his friend.
Mila continued to help Kal-Dez, even agreeing to help him settle his debts and get his revenge of he could help her attain divinity, which he had agreed to. She continued to keep him alive through his struggles and when he got back to Chargrove and reclaimed his spot next to his then fiancè, Asgar , he used what resources he could to help Mila attain divinity
Before she reached divinity, Mercy staged a siege of Chargrove hoping to destroy the city and free them to march across the plains straight into the Eastlands. Mila agreed to use her magic to protect the city the best she could while Kal-Dez, Shirou, the paladin of Tosh'ok, and a Redspawn sorcerer went out to break the siege. As they did so, Mila was captured by the Daughters of Mercy, leaving Chargrove defenseless against the artillery bombardment that Mercy was doing to destroy the city. While Nier and Shirou, distraced two of the Daughters of Mercy and the Paladin dealt with the army, Kal-Dez went to rescue Mila
Mercy had captured Mila to, not only let Chargrove burn, but to use her as a material in a ritual to summon an Aspect of Tiamat and ensure their victory in the war. Their plans had nearly worked, despite Mila pleading for her life, but Kal-Dez made a miraculous infiltration into the Mercy stronghold guarded by engineered demons and rescued Mila from her fate, and her only moment of emotional weakness thanked the newly crowned King of Chargrove for saving her as she wept.
After the siege was broken, Kal-Dez attained the materials needed to help Mila Ascend to Godhood, where she gained her first portfolio of Games. She continued to protect Chargrove with Kal-Dez as Shirou, the Paladin, and the Redspawn departed in an effort to end the war with Mercy.
