Moongleam itself is sentient always choosing who wields and slightly guiding their actions at times.
The blade seems to function as both a tool and weapon, being very effective against demons while also serving as a key to unlock the domains of Avatars. It's full capabilities and all that it can achieve is still an unknown

Manufacturing process

Its unknown how exactly the blade was forged, save for Myril who was present for the event, but it is wholly unique within even its metal not existing in any other known blade.

History

The blade was forged by Ar-Lynn Gilven at the behest of Bahamut and with his guidance for a, yet unrevealed, task
The Blade has stayed within the family for generations being wielded by members of the family before eventually coming into the hands of Kel-Dai Gilven after its was stolen of Kennen Strova

Significance

Wielding Moongleam within the Gilven family is seen as undeniable proof that the weilder is destined to do something great and be a noble protector of the family and many others
