Long Range Teleporter Beam

The Long Range Teleporter Beam or LRTB is a technology that can move a single lifeform from one place to another distant one. Very large and expensive in terms of energy consumption, the LRTB is only used by the richest or most powerful organisations in the galaxy. It is frequently used to travel between worlds, or board onto ships from afar.
While impressively accurate when you take into account its range, the LRTB still has a margin of error. In some cases, the beam misses its target entirely. This has resulted in many highly trained operatives being spaced instead of beaming onto the ship they were meant to infiltrate.
