Anthea - Mother of Gods
Domains:
Arcana, Twilight and Mind Anthea, Mother of God and Goddess of Justice is by many considered the "one" original god. It is believed that she came to the planet eons ago in search of a new home, and that she awakened the Aspects and shaped the planet so that life could flourish under her gentle guidance. Not much is known about the goddess, about where she originally came from or what she is. She also tends to not involve herself in mortal affairs at all, rather looking upon her children from above, so that they will always feel protected under her watchful gaze. Rather than teach her children, she lets mortal life live and thrive and fail, confident that the inhabitants of Gaea will find their own way, and she teaches her followers the value of freedom and justice, but also that every individual can shape their own path in life. She is most often depicted as a middle-aged woman. Some sculptures paint her as a very normal-looking human mother, while others depict her as a slightly more alien-looking being with two sets of arms and a third eye on her forehead. In both types of depiction, her eyes are often covered in some manner, by a veil or by cloth. Colours associated with the goddess is platinum and gold, and in paintings especially, she is sometimes clothed in elegant white robes with golden jewellery, sometimes carrying a staff or a spear. Anthea is generally worshipped by everyone who follows the Fate, but she is especially important for those who follow the path of soothsayer, or who are mages, leaders or judges. Mothers also often look to Anthea for guidance during their pregnancies, and many who care for others pray to the goddess for her protection.
