Rapha - Goddess of Order and Navigation
Domains:
Order, Peace and TempestRapha, Goddess of Order and Navigation, also knows as the "Lady of The Waves" is one of the two firstborn children of the goddess Anthea. When Anthea first came to the world, she created Order and Chaos, Rapha and Raashjo, from her left and her right arm, and the twins gained dominion over the planet Gaea, responsible for the oceans and the earth, while Anthea resided in the heavens. The first creations of the two gods, the first children, also called the fiends, were beings of order and of chaos. They were eventually banished to the Nine Hells and the Abyss by Anthea, after eons of war and the eventual attempt of usurping the gods, and Rapha and Raashjo, for their failure of creating succesful life, were tasked with guarding these planes for eternity. Now the distant gods do occasionally dabble in the affairs of men, but such is rare, and they spend most of their powers keeping the material plane safe from the first children.
Rapha is often associated with water in all its forms, and especially the ocean, of which her worshippers believe that Rapha uses as a medium between the material plane and her own dominion in the nine hells. Her followers know her as a calm and motherly soul, as unyielding as the waves and as powerful and mysterious as the ocean. She is most often depicted as a middle-aged woman wearing white in art, song and sculpture, but such depiction change drastically based on the culture and race of its creators.
Rapha is usually worshipped by sailors, diplomats, fishers and healers, and by some heretic circles, who rever her as the creator of the devils.
