Gaia - The Earth Mother

Domains:

Life and Forge
Gaia, also spelled Gaea, is the personification of the planet, and one of the primordial deities of the pantheon of the Aspects. Gaia is by many considered to be the ancestral mother—sometimes parthenogenic—of all life. Without Gaia, life would not be able to spring forth from from the earth, and togheter with Anthea, the Mother of Gods, she is believed to be the creator of mortals. Where Anthea's actions were deliberate however, Gaia is a sleeping goddess. Although partly awakaned by the gods of the Fate, her mind is still in a state of dreaming, and these dreams are what is believed to create earthquakes, move mountains and create new life on the planet through the flow of mana through the earth. Gaia is believed to be situated in the core of the earth, her dreams surfacing through the network of mana veins inside the planet.
Although most races on Gaea recognize the Aspect, dwarves is the race with the most connection to the earth mother herself. In dwarven mythology it is believed that Gaia dreamt up the dwarves to be her mortal vessels on the planet, made in her image. They believe that she made them to act as stewards of the very earth the other races thread upon, and that they are thus her truest children. As the dwarves discovered that they are the  only race that can handle mana crystals safely, and that these crystals are believed to be the blood, the life essence, of the goddess, such discoveries have only further confirmed these theories.
Gaia is almost exclusively depicted as a dark-skinned dwarven or human lady with beautiful curves and curly hair. Her eye colur is unknown, as the goddess has never opened her eyes. There are people who believe that should she ever awaken properly, her powers would erupt out of control, and the very earth would destroy itself through violent earthquakes and volcanic eruptions so strong that none of the gods would be able to stop her.
