Shar - Aspect of the Shattered Moon

"Blessed Nightsinger, witness our adoration. See how we serve you, only you. We have emptied our hearts of falsehoods. We have vanquished your foes. In darkness, we see your truth. Embrace us, your loyal warriors. Cloak us in your shadow. Guide us to your victory. Shar's will shall be done. As sure as night will fall."

Shar, the shattered Aspect born from the wounded goddess Selune, is primarily worshipped by drow, assassins and thieves. When her counterpart Selune fell into a deep slumber after the Lunar Cataclysm, Shar's powers grew, and she has actively guided the drow, of which she considers her children, towards some unknown goal that only the goddess of the dark side of the moon herself knows. Although young, she has amassed a considerable following, and her powers of darkness, corruption and amnesia are a force to be reckoned with. Not much is known about Shar's true nature, and although she is known to speak to and interact with her followers, her mood is fickle, and she does not share the details of her being or her grand plan with anyone.
Shar is often described as a tall, beautiful humanoid with dark black hair. When visiting mortals in their dreams, her dark hair moves and swirls regardless of gravity or outside forces, such as wind. It is believed that Shar shares the face and body of Selune, but that her features are somewhat twisted, just as the drow are reflections of the moon elves that once walked the earth.
Although not confirmed, there are theories that Shar had to fuse her essence with those of the fiends, the first children from the Fiendish Planes to survive the shattering of the Moon. What is known, at the very least, is that the secretive and reclusive drow have traditions of fiend-worship, and that many drow make deals with the creatures to enhance their powers, which might stem from Shar, who some believe was the first who taught the race these practices in her endless pursuit of power.
