Alkazar

Where the Hasaiir river meets the waves of the Corsair Coast, stands one of the mighty ancient cities of Yatangar.

Districts

Khadins Harbor   A constant coming and going of ships can be observed on the docks of the harbor. Corsair ships returning from raids return with hulls full of treasure, while others stock up on supplies to sail for distant shores and treasures.
Around the docks themselves sailors haggle and sell their wares for coins, so that they may visit some of the nearby taverns and brothels.   Surur-District   Within the walled off settlement on the northern bank of the Hasaiir a corsair sailor will find everything his heart might desire. The Surur-District has the highest concentration of inns, taverns, pubs, gambling dens and houses of pleasure.
During the day it is a place of bussling commerce, where a wide variety of wares from near and far exchange hands. As the sun sets, most of the merchants pack up their goods and close their shops, for these streets are about to turn into rivers of chaotic and drunken debauchery of all kinds.   Shabun-District   From outside the walls of the Surur district to the Liabad bridge stretches the most recent expansion to the city of Alkazar. The influx of immigrants moving to the prospering city has lead to the rapid growth of the city since the end of the War of the Bleeding Seas.   Jadid-District   Outside the western walls of the old city lies the Jadid-District. Here those who are refused entry into the city build their homes from the ancient rubble of long destroyed stone buildings and walls.   The Dockyards   Under the watchfull eye of the old city walls, lie the dockyards on the southern bank of the Hasaiir. Here corsairs can have their ships repaired or even built new ones, if they have plenty of gold.   The Old City   While Alkazar is still an impressive sight for many, it sadly is but a shadow of its former magnificience. Scholars believe that at the height of the Barikian Empire its size was about five times of what remains today.
Although much was lost, does part of the old city remain. These houses of ancient stone still stand strong and provide homes to the ancestors of their architects and stone-masons.   Alnabil-District   Overlooking the rest of the city is the noble district of Alkazar. Impressive mansions with lush gardens surround the old imperial palace, which stands highest above every other building.
