Majiipiit Scrublands (Mah-Jaah-Peet)
The Majiipiit Scrublands is a tropical shrublands that is located on Kharis, and is home to a wide array of life, including towering ancient trees that rival Auyri's Sacred trees and dwarf Redwoods.
The Region is the boundary of the Sassliss Imperium's circle of influance, as they failed to conquer this shrubland. However they do have a few ruins within the plains that were ancinet Sasslissian attempts to conquer the decieving nature of such a land.
"As I wander forth, I see masive trees dotting the lands, each providing a flourishing oasis of life surrounding it. These Trees are a tropical variation of an Elddar Tree, from what I have been told"~Cassous Boshe, Kharrian Ranger Corp
The Nation of Kharria
Kharria is a small nation that claims the Scrublands as it's soverign territory. This is a nation of Cat-like Beastmen tribes that banded together in the face of former Sasslisian Agression. The situation has since gotten cool, but they still observe and watch Sassliss from afar.Geography
The Majiipiit Scrublands is a tropical grassland that has in its wake massive ginkgo like trees that are know nas Elddar Tropicious. These trees are absolutely massive and can be seen for miles, as they tower upwards quite a distance. Other than this the lands are a luish grasslands with little smaller trees that grow around these Elddar Oasis
Elddar Oasis
A unique feature within the plains are these massive trees that tower hundreds of meters in the air, and around them, they create an oasis of life and temporary watering holes that last through most of the year. Due to these trees, the outskirts of the lands are often dry and savanna like. It is common to see Kharrian villages and towns spawn under the branches of these tres and even sometimes within the canopy of the said trees."I always thought the nozumi were the only tree dwellers who created cities in trees, but these cat-folk also do it too, I wonder who inspired who if that even was a thing that happened. It's pretty Ironic really, Cats and rats in trees."~Scholar Antonie Sarkan, The Studies of Kharis
Ecosystem
The Ecosystem is long rainy periods during Spring and Early summer, while the Late summer to Early winter the dry period starts. The Elldar Tropius trees here take in, and store lots of the water that comes in from typhoons and rainstorms. It is often to discover small lakes under ground beneath these trees, which raises concerns of Rathari infestations.
Aside from the massive trees, it has smaller trees as well, and seasonal ponds that appear through out the year, usually in the same spots. There are massive herding and grazing animals that travel place to place within this land. The Kharrian people have learned to live in harmony with these migrating herds.
Aside from hills and small shrubs, the spawn of lush fauna and wildlife are often centralized around the trees, and thus, fiercly protected by the natives and organizations that are assigned to overwatch them.
History
The History of the plains is as varied as the tribes that tell them. They proudly stand forth on beating back Ancient Sasslisian forces from conquering them in the past, and since then Sassliss has seemed to loose interest in the lands and now looks eastward with the current political situation on Changxi and Myrryth.
The Kharrian tribes are the native beastfolk of these lands, they resemble felines, most that of a cheetah, but there are varitations amongst them. They have bound together to found the Country of Kharria. They remain largely neutral and is an emerging nation that has only recently started to become international.
Guild of Lore Relations
The Kharrian people have recently welcomed The Guild of Lore into thier lands, and thus opened the Adventurer's Guild of Kharria to young cubs and travelers that wish to uncover the shrouded history of these plains. They have recently discovered an interesting prehistoric sprawl that once was within Kharis it self."Kharria is where I reside, and these people have been so nice, and fascinated that I look like a rat in scout gear, It appears primitive rats were a thing here, and I often get poked fun at due to it, but they only mean it in jest. I have learned so much here since my arrival, and I look forward to sharing this culture with the world."~ Scholar Antonie Sarkan, The Studies of Kharis
