The Guild of Lore
The guild of Lore and Guild of Adventuring are one of the same Entity. Two branches within the same origin. This massive Gaia-wide guild operates with the blessings of most entities within Gaia. The Physical location of the guild it self is centered in the city of Axius within the nation of The Joharan Consulate on Sahandra.
The guild employs millions of people across the globe, and is amongst one of the oldest organizations on Gaia. Even though teh Adventurer's Guild operates under teh Guild of Lore, it operates as it's own Entity. However It submits reports, artifacts and stories to the Guild of Lore.
The Purpose of the Guild
The Purpose of the Guild is to chronicle, analyze, store ,and act as both an Archive and Repository for the history of Gaia. It primarily seeks to learn all it can about the Combined Empire, but has since acted as a record keeper for nations past and present. The goal is considered noble by most nations, and their members are welcomed almost everywhere, save for some locations, in which it then hires Adventurers to represent it in Public, or secret. Their long term project is known as the Gaia-Chronicle Project. Which is to preserve and record all cultures and life upon the surface of Gaia, so that they all can be memorialized and never forgotten for generations beyond. This so far, has many contributions that are still ongoing. It Even produces and broadcasts a program that many Gaians enjoy. This program is often broadcast on free services on television or Radio, mostly Television to showcase the must obscure and cherished cultures of Gaia, This Show is called Project Gaia. it has educated many Gaians of the cultures they otherwise would not know of, or forget. Their cast is often created by many individuals of many species, even those that others may see as hostile or feral.The Leadership of the Guild
The Mantel of leadership is given by the Elder Council, which promotes a Grand Magister to oversee and direct the guild to their digression. The process is grueling, yet considered one of the most coveted positions in Gaia. To become this, one must not show any Bias to any empire, or entity. They must remain open minded and not lose sight of the larger goal at hand. If any of the goals become questionable, or if the Magsiter loses sight of the guilds's Mantra, they are immediately stripped of this title and sent on probation, while the Council seeks another to represent them.The Adventurer's Guild
The leadership of this guild is considered by the Council as well, but given much more freedom. The goal of this guild is to keep in mind that they are not a private military force but to guide folks who wish to be adventurers. TheĀ leader of this guild over sees the training of basic skills, given of what the adventurer wishes to focus on and the general upkeep of keeping supply chains running to ensure that the Guild Shops are stocked at most times.Becoming an Adventurer
This position is often chased by those who wish to see the world, or learn about it in any way possible. To become an Adventurer, one must apply at a local branch office of the guild. Where they can chose their primary focus. (Jokingly called a Class). These 'classes' are what defines the focus points of the said individual. One must renew this license once every five years to keep up to date in the records. Once they have chosen their focus, they will be sent to basic classes that are to be taken at the person's leisure, within a limited time. This teaches the basics of Equipment, Weapons, and how to use a weapon. It is not unusual to see adventurers forgo the training, though it is not recommended. The classes usually focus on common sense, and will direct anyone to another organization or location if they chose to further advance their profession.The World, Ours
