Western Dragon
Western Dragons are the dragons that are most known by the people of Gaia. They are gigantic lizards with four legs and a pair of massive wings and a crown of horns atop their head. They are the type of dragon that is most common through Gaia.
They are also the largest of the four major species.
Basic Information
Anatomy
The Western dragon is the typical dragon that is told in stories and myths. They are the most iconic of the four major species, and perhaps the most dominant. They have four legs, a long tail that can be adorned with many things depending where they are from. Their crowns of horns are also varying in shape and appearance with every dragon.
These wings are massive and muscular, able to bring the creature airborne for long periods of times, even to climb high altitudes. The membrane can rip and tear,m but it usually heals within a few days. Despite popular myth, dragons can not regenerate limbs, not without a magical source that is immense in power.
They can grip and manipulate things with their forelegs, they can act as arms and hands if the dragon chooses a biped stance and style to live about. They are slow, yet their power is off the scales. Dragons are built for rough living and lives, able to take a great beating before even suffering the consequences.
Growth Rate & Stages
The Dragon grows slowly, however mentally they can grow quickly. Their hatchling size is that of a large dog, and they can get as big as a large building. A dragon will mature quickly, yet they can recall their past lifestyles if they chose to. Specially if they befriend someone and they wish to 'play'.
Draconic hobbies usually include hoard keeping, depending on the dragon their hoard can contain several items that are different from each other. Mostly the most common hoard is that of precious metals and valuables.
Ecology and Habitats
What is known to some dragons, is that they have an affinity towards kobolds. The kobold species may vary, but usually if a warren or a clan finds a dragon they will usually submit themselves to servitude. The dragons are known to employ kobolds as their agents and armies to punish or raid others. Usually a Speaker that the dragon chooses personally will be the one who deals with their diplomacy and tribute.
Its worth to note that not all kobolds will do this, but the most Common type of Kobold are the Deepground Kobolds. They have not achieved the grand status as others of their kind did but they are content to live tribal and in clans to serve a dragon that has moved into thier area.

Perception and Sensory Capabilities
The Dragons have perfect vision, to spot prey and targets from high altitudes. They also have a strong sense of smell that can help them in places where their eyes may not work, such as storms, or dark caves.
The pads on their feet can feel vibrations in the ground if they are close enough. This has perplexed many people in their draconian studies. It appears that each dragon is unique and where they have their strengths set at.
