Solya the Afterfairy
Backstory
Solya was born as Nolya in the village of Gotharamor. She had a very natural birth, but it was far from normal. Unbeknownst to most, Nolya was born not from an elven mother, but from the soil that decomposed the body of Gothicca's previos champion, buried in Gau'sharan's Grove. Gothicca planted a seed of powerful biomancy & Draconic magic within this soil, which grew for a few years until the bulb sprouted baby Nolya. Since then, Nolya was raised as a villager and personally trained by Gothicca in druidic magic. Sometime during her early 20s, Fredlin Sharpjaw was arrested by the Warian Collective and made a ward of Gothicca as her annaul tithe to them. Sharpjaw & Nolya (around the same age) grew to understand and love each other.Gaiobros Campaign
She was in her late 20s when Gothicca fell ill to Ouima Rot. Trusted by her matron like no one else in the village, Gothicca sent her & Sharpjaw on a quest to Vulsemar to find the cure to her disease, starting in the Forest Dragon lands. There, she and her partner met Draconius & Balcazar, travelling with them to complete their quest. They soon picked up Master Obu & Fork, followed by Stonius & Flurry. She travelled with the Gaiobros (not yet named this) until they betrayed her and her beloved in Vas Dregas, leaving them on the streets as gangsters surrounded them for a shakedown. While Darkjaw rampaged across Vulsemar during the events of Darkjaw , Nolya was escorted to the Underworld by the Denowraiths, unclaimed by any nature deity for passage to the Aurovian Wilds. While there, she not only learned to survive by infusing her druidic magic with the dark energy of her new environment, but she learned of the horrific atrocities that souls face everyday in the Underworld. By the time Darkjaw brought her back to unlife, Nolya shed her past identity and became Solya, determined to free the unjustly trapped souls into the material plane. By the end of the Darkjaw storyline, Solya & Darkjaw usurped Zalcophet the Frost Pharaoh and became members of the Shadow Triad , ruling over Zalcovia (Necropolis ) by the time the Gaiobros showed up.The Caring Pharaoh
Events from her first appearance in the campaign (as Solya) to her death (or continued unlife, depending on what the Gaiobros do. DIPLOMACY FORM In this form, Queen Solya resembles an undead version of Nolya, with paler skin, some sunken features, radiant green eyes and her Vas Dregas elemental deflection dress. This is the form she takes outside of Necropolis, politically or otherwise. MUMMY LORD In this form, Queen Solya maintains her physique, but is wrapped in organic-vine bandages, with the fabrics of the deflection dress woven in. She wore a queen's robes, which consisted of light foliage creating a veil & loose robes over herself. Her eyes (if there are any) are bandaged up and hidden behind the veil, but two green irises shine through them. This is the form she takes when in Zalcovia or Necropolis. DREAD QUEEN In this form, Queen Solya drops all notions of civility & shows the true horror she has become. Her bandages now drape freely off her arms, legs & torso (not naked, as the vines move around enough in the area), and her head bandages flow from her scalp like hair (or a crown). Her face is exposed, showing black/dark-grey sunken flesh mixed with rotting flora, no eyes, and glowing green orbs in the empty sockets. Her explosed flesh is more of the same. She takes this form when fighting or incredibly angry.
