The mass extinction of prehistoric Gaion, caused by the battle between the primordial Elder Gods, the subsequent destruction of Gaios, and the meteor-force impact from the six Gaiostones.
The time where the world was new and savage. It developed similarly to Earth in its early years, but on Gaion the four Elder Gods reigned and fought for control. There was constant battle for survival between the prehistoric Creatures (beings of Aurovi) that sought life, and Monsters (beings of Denothis) that only sought to spread death. Gaios used Creatures and Monsters, combined with his dominion over the four elements, to create his children, the Gigan Gods:
The second era of Gaion's history, though most of its events are told through myths and ancient historical accounts littered throughout Gaion. Following the Gaioforce Extinction, dragons took a larger dominion over the world. They evolved as solitary creates at first, but through evolution became more sentient and interactive with their own kind (beyond territorial disputes and primal urges). It was during this era that sentient life began to form as well, the most notable being:
The time towards the end of the Age of Evolution, where the Giants & the Dragons waged brutal wars against each other for domain over the world. Countless humanoids were enslaved, slaughtered or devoured by dragons & giants alike, leading to the rise and fall of countless ancient societies. The wars ended with the Ascension of the Gods, which shifted the course of nature and finally gave sentient races prime dominion over the world.
The third era of Gaion's history, and the first era that contains strong historical records. It began with the Ascension of the Gods that ended the Gigadragonomy, and ended with the Divine Vanishment.
The largest-scale war in the history of Gaion. While a world war involving all the world's superpowers occurred in the mortal realm, Auvori and the Arcian Alliance fought against Denothis and the Dakian Army. The end of the war led to the destruction of the Elder Gods and mass loss of life in the mortal realm.
The time following the Divine Extinction. Many civilizations were lost completely, entire species and races wiped out, and general destruction of the world. During this time, power dynamics changed and nations rose after the fall of others, and vice versa. This is where most of Gaion's known history resides
A rebellion led by Aelsor (a Warian Whisper), Gar'falk (leader of the Stonegore Brotherhood), Captain Ghilia (agent of the Free Grettanian Alliance), & the Soju Gang (mercenary group of DnD players). With their combined rebel militia, assassination of the imperial-style Governor Henross & prison break, they successfully took control of the town and declared Danarim "free of the empire".
For their disrespect and thievery from local mob boss Baris, the Sojus are hunted down and assassinated by Nyrus. This was immediately after they were hunted and attacked by a Forest Dragon, all while they were tripping on various drugs.
The fateful day where Viko, Kiara & Nyrus met, careening the three down trajectories of life they never would've expected.
A series of concurrent and sequential wars encompassed into a global conflict, primarily fought between the world's humanoid superpowers and magically influenced by Thatos, the High God of Chaos. This was the second largest-scale conflict and era defining time period during the Age of Mortals. The conflicts led to the deaths of millions across the globe, collapse of multiple societies, rise of malevolent gods and the deaths of a few gods.
