0706-a: Rostgha

The first planet in the Phenes system, Rostgha's atmosphere is heated by a binary pair of stars, dancing around one-another in perfect rhythm. The skies of Rostgha make for a perfect example of what happens on its surface.

Not home to many, Rostgha boasts only one setlement; Red-Light. The population of which, including a number of small outlying colonies, totals around fifteen thousand people. The planet is headed by a governing organization called 'The Cabal', which is a puppet state of the New Terran Mandate.

To outsiders, the planet is unwelcoming, its hostle biosphere doesn't lend itself well to stability and sustainability. Secondly, suspicion and the indirect rule of the New Mandate make traveling through customs a challenge and thirdly, the people of Rostgha are shrouded in stigma and scepticism- these 'redworlders' are known to be risqué and somewhat aggressive in how they preach the whims of their society.

Geography

The planet's surface was forged with the same heat that still rains down on it today; the two suns in the system pust the average yearly temperature of the planet to around 34 degrees Celsius. Its body is a mix of brown and grey rocks, any biosphere having been slowly burned off by the heat. The people on the planet rely on ice shipped in from the outskirts of the system to survive.

The planetary government 'The Cabal' became a puppet state to the New Mandate after a small military conflict which was fought throughout the sysem to fight what they knew would have been an oppressive and controlling rulership over their world. After their loss, the Cabal stayed in power, but negotiated a certain level of independance from the Mandate's organizations.
