Third Age of Exploration (2345-present)

The Third Age of Exploration is the period in Human history where colonization of the species begins to flow into systems and planets light years away from the Sol System. Alien worlds are discovered in extraordinary speed thanks to expeditions led by the Sentience and hundreds of planets are colonized in the Milky Way. The first world to be colonized is Elysium, a moon of a gas giant in the Beta Viventem System. A few hundred began the colonization in the southern region of the continent known as Harlands with the settlement known as Tempest. Its placement was close to sheer cliffs dropping to an open sea and a high rain-forested mountain which proved to be a challenge for early settlers but, the colonists managed to find a way to live the land. Within a few years, the planet is firmly under the control of the Empire.
While the first colony was a multi-cultural enterprise, many future colonies would be founded on ethnic or cultural principles, worlds outside of the direct control of the Empire that people living on these worlds focused on developing their individual identities as a people and as humans.
These colonies included:

• The first colony Elysium, the second planet in the Beta Viventem System (1.7pc/5.53ly) which was settled in 2347.

• The Iberian colony of Torrón, the third planet of the Azula System (2.22pc/7.24ly) which was settled in 2349.

• The French colony of Cherché II in the Alpha Cherché System (1.88pc/6.14ly) which was settled in 2352.

• The colony of Density, the fourth planet in the Omega Aestus System (1.97pc/6.46ly) which was settled in 2355.

• The Polish colony of Wadowice, the second planet in the Omicron Podróż System (2.64pc/8.61ly) which was settled in 2358.

• The colony of Pendulum, the third planet in the Sigma Laxamentis System (2.37pc/7.73ly) which was settled in 2371.
