Currency in Kethendia

The dragonborn clans of Kethendia use their own currency, and although it is valid in the outer world, the clans will only accept their own currency from visiting merchants or tourists.

The Kethendian system of currency remains uniform throughout the dragonborn clans due to their resistance to change and a common root in Silvermere. Kethendian coin is directly convertible to outside currency and is accepted at face value by most establishments and merchants anywhere else on Galactus. Gold pieces are known as talons and are crescent shaped, wider on one end than the other, which tapers into a point. The surface of a talon is stamped with the crest of whichever dragonborn clan it originates in. A talon is about one and a half inches long. Silver pieces, or fangs, are triangular and similarly stamped. Fangs are around an inch long. Copper pieces are known as scales. As the name suggests, these are shaped like a dragon's scale and slightly smaller than the silver fangs. Platinum pieces, the most valuable coin, are called hearts and are elliptical in shape, with an ornate clan crest as well as the engraved name of the particular clan's monarch at the coin's time of minting.

Kethendian coins can be exchanged for other grades of coin at the same rates as other currency systems.
