Jörmungandr the World Serpant
One of the children of Loki Jörmungandr is genuinely a colossal representation of the word Giant. Given the nickname, the World Serpent is not just an idiom as it is believed the entire ocean of the world is his domain, though it is thought he patrols certain parts of the waters more frequently than others. Little is known about this Great Serpent as he was born during the Dark Age. What little is known are often folklore and fairy tales from people who may or may not have seen the serpent. Jörmungandr has no reliable way to be contacted, but based on stories from the Dark Age, it is clear that he picked no side, purely defending himself and his domain against those who drew his hire. One of the believed Patrol routes is the serpent straight. While none have seen Jörmungandr in these waters, sailors often go missing if they do not adequately pay the great beast when they attempt to cross its waters; this leads many to believe this is one of his favorite locations. Some rumors about the serpent pop up now and again, with the most famous being a warning that one day, the serpent will grow so large that it may encircle the entire world and, in doing so, bite its tail, causing a great catastrophe. But that's just folklore.
