Baskhold
Baskhold is an island fort located just off the coast of Vargen, with whale bones hanging from fishnets above the entryway, serving as a warning to would-be attackers. The fort is built of stone and wood and is designed to blend in with the surrounding forest. It is also protected by small island watchtowers that guard the narrow straight between the Baskhold and the mainland. Inside the fort, there is a central courtyard surrounded by buildings that house the garrison, armory, and living quarters. The fort is also equipped with a large ballista on the roof, which is used to defend against ships that may attempt to pass through the straight.
